I have become a mastermind fanatic. Last fall I joined a global masterminding group and this connection has done incredible things for me personally and professionally. The old saying, “Two heads are better then one,” is true. Imagine eight heads all working on helping you get creative, come up with ideas and the answers you are looking for in business or any area of your life. It’s phenomenal.

For those of you who haven’t heard about masterminding or aren’t sure what the concept is all about, I have decided to let the cat out of the bag, admit my addiction and bring everyone up to speed.

Masterminding in an effective tool used through out the centuries to bring about solutions to challenges and problems, assist with goal-achieving and elicit creative brainstorming. All the big guys and girls do it including mentor Gerry Robert, author of The Millionaire Mindset. He loves masterminding any place, any time.

Masterminding is what happens when several people, in a spirit of harmony, tap into a creative, powerful source–the universe- to create as a collective more solutions and ideas then they ever could on their own.

That’s the beauty of masterminding, you get ideas, solutions and contacts you could never have come up with if you were working on the problem on your own. Some of the ideas might resonate with you and some may not. Some ideas may pan out and some may not. Some ideas may come right away and some might need developing. Some ideas may be winners and other ideas may lead the way to the winning idea.

Napoleon Hill, author of “Think and Grow Rich,” popularized the term “masterminding,” a few decades ago. As he observed the lives of about 500 of the world’s wealthiest men, he discovered that they all belonged to a Mastermind Group. Within this group these men from their peers, received support, encouragement, contacts, knowledge and advice. This concept moves way beyond networking.

In return mastermind participants are able to give back to their group members the same support, encouragement, contacts and ideas. It is a win-win situation.

Since I got hip to the concept I have been hearing about masterminding from many sources. There goes that law of attraction again. All of these sources agree—that masterminding, especially in business is crucial to incredible success.

My current mastermind group consists of eight people from around the world. We meet on the phone for an hour once a week to celebrate our successes, ask for accountability on our upcoming actions, to gain support from each other and brainstorm ideas in areas which need creative brainstorming. We help each other move forward to greater success.

My group is so keen that we are currently working on an income opportunity as a team and now meet for a second hour each week—even the guy from Australia makes it to the calls despite his current summery weather.
